- Push where you want depth: push the stain into the skin with a coarse, dense brush and work it beneath the hairs. Use lighter pressure where you want a softer result.
- Brush thick hair upward: for thicker hair types, brushing upward spreads the stain evenly.

Run a patch test with the exact hybrid stain and developer you will use, 24 to 48 hours before the appointment, and follow the product instructions and your state board's rules.
